Our Vision

The vision of the Baton Rouge Blues Fundation is to have Baton Rouge recognized for its blues heritage and culture and bring the best of Louisiana blues music to the world.

Our History

The Baton Rouge Blues Foundation was founded in 2002. A non-profit organization, the Foundation sponsors the Music in the Schools Program, the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation Awards and Baton Rouge Blues Week. Sparked and guided by a newly-developed Strategic Plan, the Foundation opened its doors to a general membership on August 31, 2006, with a very successful JAM session at Phil Brady’s. The JAM was hosted by Tab Benoit and included performances by Chris Belleau, Bobby Campo, Buddy Flett, Henry Gray, Herman Jackson, Deacon John, Luther Kent, Andy Pizzo and Tabby Thomas.

Baton Rouge Blues Foundation is a proud sponsor of KBRH-AM and WBRH-FM's Buffet Program.  The Buffet airs each Saturday at 2 p.m on 1260 AM and 90.3 FM.  The show features biographical sketches and music of performing artists and is written, produced and hosted by students of the radio training program of Baton Rouge Magnet High School.
