2008 Slim Harpo Awards recipients

The Baton Rouge Blues Foundation announces the winners of
the annual 2008 Slim Harpo Awards. Silas Hogan will be recognized
as a Blues Legend, Dr. Nick Spitzer of American Routes, radio program will be
honored with the Ambassador Award and the distinction of Blues Pioneer
goes to both Marcia Ball and Lil’ Ray Neal.
Join the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation for a celebration of
these great artists on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Baton Rouge Holiday
Inn Select

Constitution Avenue. The awards will be
presented at 7:30, then enjoy the music of ONE MO’TIME featuring Floyd
Patterson and surprise guests. Tickets are available from BR Blues
